Background:

Keira was born and raised in Ul’Dah. Her mother was a weaver while her father worked on a stall to sell the clothes and garments his wife made. As they worked young Keira would play under the stalls though all good things come to an end…
In her 6th summer, it was simply another day working in the Ul’Dahn markets, Keira playing as usual and her parents working hard making sales until one customer approached the stall with several of his friends. Angry words were exchanged and threatening gestures until her mother and father lay dead in a pool of crimson. The men looted any valuables and gil pouches before scattering and the young Hyur fled too.With no one to look after her Keira spent the next years of her life living on the street, residing mainly in Pearl Lane. She learned quickly how to survive on her own, that she could only trust herself. Stealing and picking pockets to keep herself fed and shelter over her head.
Around the time she was 17, Keira was taken against her will and inducted into a sex ring for Ul’Dahs most elite and wealthy. She was drugged and trained into submission to please them by one she knew as “The Trainer”. He taught her everything she knew about waiting tables and waiting on men, their desires, pleasures and how to be at their mercy. He was also the one who branded her as their property and took away her ability to have children of her own.
She knew very little about the group that held her, not even the name of the group or those who trained and beat her.
It wasn’t until 3 years into service the Brass Blades uncovered the operation and shut it down, freeing Keira and other women.Now 20 years old she finds employment at the Quicksands. Waiting tables and in customers beds to make ends meet with her new skills. With dreams of her own she longs to become a dance and has taught herself from stories told by adventures at the bars she serves at. No skill to hold her own in battle regardless of owning a blunt pair of Chakrams but enough to look pretty for paying patrons on stage. She had gone around various clubs and bars to dance for gil and make a little extra alongside her job at the Sands.—————————While working at the Quicksands, it was only recently that a woman had come in, looking for a lost little girl, an orphan with blue hair. Reluctant to give any information thinking what remained of her family had died or abandoned all though of her long ago Keira urged the woman to give up the search. It was only then she revealed her name - Silian Miller - Keira’s cousin. Since then they’ve kept in touch and became close again, often reminiscing when they were children and happy memories they both share.She was employed at the Fuyukawa Juukyo as a server and a dancer working along side her boyfriend Lycidas. She trained in Thavnair to learn the ways of Dancers and to fight with their elegance and style. Even though her training is complete there is still a lot she is learning each day about it and how the world works.Though, until recently the Juukyo was attacked and Keira was wounded in trying to defend her new home. She is currently recovering under the watchful eye of Lycidas and medical professionals. The couple have since left the Juukyo, no longer feeling safe there to find a new home in the City of Monsters. Though Lycidas feels right at home, it is taking Keira a little longer to find her feet as a normal Hyur in a city full of vampires, witches, voidsent and all manner of other creatures that society have seen fit to cast out.
